Tom Alter Biography was born on 22 June 1950 in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. His family was from Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. His grandfather first came to India in the year 1916 from Ohio, USA. They came out through the Madras port and from there came to Lahore, and started living there. Tom Alter’s father was born in Sialkot. After the partition of India, his family also got divided into two parts. His grandfather stayed in Pakistan and his father came to India with his family. After first living in Allahabad, Jabalpur, Saharanpur, his family finally settled in Mussoorie in the year 1954.
